Panorama investigates the scandal of our polluted rivers. Reporter Joe Crowley obtains data that reveals how some big water companies have been illegally dumping untreated sewage. He meets local people campaigning for a wholescale clean-up and exposes one company discharging sewage without a permit.
In 2015 the EA reported that the most polluted rivers in the UK are the rivers in Devon/Cornwall,And the worst performing water company was South West Water.in 2015 171 pollution incidents and 7 serious.this statement was published in the Trout & Salmon magazine ,Autumn edition 2016,According to government performance figures ,for utility companies,SWW still rate poorly for performance.
