An interesting web site for our members. River Action is a UK-based environmental campaigning body committed to addressing the severe problem of river pollution. Rivers are facing an existential crisis. An overwhelming body of recent evidence confirms that virtually all of the UK’s rivers are polluted beyond legal limits – with many facing severe environmental challenges. Along with sewage discharges from the water companies, run offs from intensive agriculture is widely acknowledged as one of the principal causes of this crisis.
