Members will have noticed that there is a bull and calves in the field by Mill Pool.
With regards to cattle in fields, the official advice from NFU says:
Don’t be afraid of cows but be mindful, they are protective of their young.
Take a walking stick with you. Don’t strike them, but use it to keep them away from you
Be bold and walk straight through them if the cows move towards you (except mothers with calves)
If there is any concern, members are advised to use the LHB over the next few weeks.
