Not many fish showing. While between Old weir and signal box heard quite a commotion upstream. A few minutes later a family appears pushing an inflatable canoe. 30 mins later that passed me again near Rocky heading back upstream. End of session!

Fished from 4-8 pm. I started a Bridge Reeve but the river is up a good couple of feet and very cloudy., no fly life, no fish showing at all.
I moved up to the second field and fished various run and pools to the weir. Much better conditions.

Grey Wulff used on No 14. Then used bushy Greenwell's Glory which was dressed rather like a mayfly. Several mayfly around. Missed several other minor takes probably by very small fish. Large tree has fallen near pump hut blocking easy river access

Fished for 2 hours from 11.30 am then heavy rain . All 5 caught on size 16 Grey Duster, all from the bottom of the beat to the Mill Pool. Unfortunately after the rain the river became chocolate brown. Saw a few Mayfly’s so should be good when clear
