Only 2 fish rising, missed one bite and landed another smallish 6inch trout. Nice to be out on the last day of the season. Also saw two Kingfishers, which made it even better.

Pleasant few hours at Tremayne on a fine day to end the season, no fish but still great to be on the river

Last day bit of fun, all small fish with a few missed takes as well.

Very little fly life. Water clear and around 13C. Two takes but no fish on a Daddy Longlegs.

Good water levels and not too mucky. One decent 11" and a 5" both on black pennell..

Some colour in the water but still low, no fish rising. Bank vegetation starting to die back Autumns here!

Spent a couple of hours trying the deeper water, caught just the one from Mill Pool. Found a signal crayfish on water’s edge by 5 o’clock pool, reported to EA. Water very clear but lots of algae. Boy do we need some rain.

Fished for a couple of hours this PM, no fish rising, river very low and incredibly clear. Both fish caught on hares ear nymph 1 @ 16 inches from Mill Pool and 1 @ 6inches from riffle below Little Dart. Saw a huge trout jump in the pool above Mill

Spent an hour trying various drys and nymphs. Settled on a copper head hares ear and bingo 4 in 20 mins all over 9 inches, best well over 12. Fished 11am - 12.30 sun came out game over all caught between Franks and Beginners

With my son Tom. Horribly out of practice and spent the majority of our time trying to tie flies and tippet on ! Amazing hatch at around 8.45pm. Major beaver activity d/s of beginners and 2 watched and videoed by Tom.

No fish rising but managed to tempt 5 on caddis, had to compete with a cormorant for a while. Lost another good sized fish from under the bridge. Water clear and rain doesn’t seem to have made much difference.

Both dippers (fledged young) and kingfishers breeding here.

A fish did take my PA fly but i missed it! A big fat Blank!

Tough fishing today, hot & humid few rises but also few takers

Fished 2-4pm. Very little fly life and hardly any fish showing. Caught both small fish on a size 20 dark gnats. Probably took me 45 minutes to tie the flies onto the tippet.

Decided to fish the wild section, river remarkably clear considering it had rained, not much surface activity but fish still about.

Fished a daddy long legs just above the ford. River still pretty high.

River slightly up and a little bit coloured.
Fished for around hour and a half from 11am nothing rising.

River a bit cloudy but fish still rising,

Plenty of water, very silver Sea trout spotted taking possibly mayfly at tail of mill pool 18.00 .

14:00 - 17:30. Not much showing, river still up probably a foot but clear in the shallower stretches.

Blankety blanked on my attempt for a sea trout - fished from 11pm-1am and didn't have a single pull or hear a splash. A handful of brownies saved the day while waiting for it to go dark - all on a sherry spinner. Fish rising everywhere at c9.30pm

Fished 1900-2100. Clear water with a few rising fish. Taking sub surface nymphs.

Fished from Beginners to Coldridge Bridge. The odd fish feed but plenty of fly life.

Evening session 19.30-21.30 in high water trying for seatrout/salmon on small tubes. Couple of decent brown trout 12 & 14" but no sign of migratory fish

40 mins after the bank evening 20.15-21.00. Too late for a decent rise but a couple of little fish on dries at the head of pools

Lost large fish in Franks pool, but tough going today no fish rising and stiff wind keeping insects off the surface

Fished for 2 hrs from 2.30 very little surface activity, saw large fish in little dart pool.

water conditions good, not a lot rising or hatching, saw a kingfisher. Arrived back to car with waders dry inside, unlike last time.

Quite cool on the river particularly with the breeze. Lots of insects including mayflies. Not a feeding frenzy but fish feeding quite regularly.

Splendid couple of hours this afternoon, although mostly caught on caddis also had a couple on grey drakes and olives, of the 6 larger fish 4 were over 12 inches

I fished the bottom part of beat 6 for an hour this evening. Free rising fish throughout. A quill olive with CDC wing size 15 took all the fish.

Quick 45 minutes as my 2.5yr old has been bugging me to let him net a fish since watching Gone Fishing. Managed it and missed two others. Few mayfly and olives coming off between 3-4pm.

River slightly up after recent rain. Lots of fly life with a good number of Mayflies.

Went to fish tremayne but road closed so moved on to park mill.
Fished 2hrs from 11am very little showing so pleased to end up just catching a few, hard work!

Great 2 hours from 16.00-1800 water a bit coloured but fish still taking from the surface. Major hatch as I was leaving with plenty of splashing, but dinner calls

A large scruffy Mayfly

18:00 - 20:00. All caught in five ‘o’ clock. Few feeding but lots of fly life. River quite coloured.

Other flies that caught fish were the black gnat klinkhammer and French Partridge Mayfly.

14:30 to 18:00 a few fish feeding, river quite low but very clear.

Fished from 11.30am for a few hours, conditions fairly overcast with the odd mayfly showing.
Caught most of the fish on the little dart all on an Adams.

Fished from 8 - 9.30 pm, lovely evening lots of fly life and lots of fish rising but very choosy, river back down to pre rain level and clearing.

Caught the two larger fish in the first pool on the Little Dart (thanks Chris). A significant sedge hatch with the odd mayfly.

Water up a foot and coloured, fished up to Little Dart and caught 2, Dart was running clear so fished up to large pool and caught another 10 on the way, 4 over 12 with best around 14inches on a spent mayfly.

Fished 16.30-18.30, few mayflies, fish taking subsurface but a few big splashes after the odd mayfly. Water low rain later will hopefully help

Fished from 4pm till 7 pm, cloudy and warm but no fish on the surface until after 5 pm. Used winged olive, caddis and Grey drake, but most caught on olives. Lots of spinners about and the odd mayfly.

Still plenty of flow in the river which is presently clear. Bullocks in first field can be a bit too inquisitive!

One hour after bank day 14.30-15.30. Fished the stretch we had cleared. Very bright and sunny. Fished mayfly patterns but little interest

7-8.30pm. Not much surface activity. Cold air. All on dry spent mayfly. Couple of mayfly out but i was probably too late

Copy of a Davie McPhail mayfly pattern landed a very fat 12" fish. A mayfly emerger had fish slashing at it. Lost 2 and had a few miss the fly when they rose. Not much happening until 4pm ish

A home made black size 12 wet fly, First trip on club waters lovely weather but quite bright, a few mayfly on air but not much sign of fish, water slightly coloured.

Fished for a couple of hours from 2.30pm very bright conditions and river full of dandelion seeds so having to constantly clean fly.

Lots of fly life but not much surface activity. Went through the fly box to try and tempt a fish, eventually caught a 14 & 12 inch on a size 18 caddis.

Some rain during my few hours where i fished a nymph and had another big fish of 21 inches!! The rain cleared and the dry fly action started and I switched to an Olive upright and had some lovely fish.

Large hatches and lots of surface action. I tried 9 different dries, but nothing. Then switched to a dun nymph. Had a 17" brownie first cast. (Didn't fight much). Went home!

After the rain. 1.5 hours lots of surface action. All on dries. Partridge mayfy yellow variant. One of 11 inches

Pleasant 3 hours from 3-6pm, lots of rises and plenty of fly life, fish very tentative and subsurface takes. Water clear but low

Fished from 7-8.30pm. Hard work with the water so low and clear. 1 on a #20 grey duster and 2 on #16 sherry spinner. Pretty decent spinner fall. Lost 1 (and both my sherry spinner flies 😕)

Hardly any surface activity.

Fished 13:30 - 16:30. First ninety minutes saw lots of fish and fly life activity. Once the temperature dropped it went very quiet.

3-5:45 cool upstream wind only saw a couple of fish feeding.

Lovely 3 hours below Coldridge this evening, lots of olives and a few mayfly’s, not much in the way of rises but my trusty Caddis duo managed to tempt 6, largest around 14 inches

Too early for the rise on such a bright day but I had some fish in the fast runs. Best fish was a cracker at 16 inches!

Followed Tim after his session. I fished 4-6:30. Plenty of fly life but initially hardly any surface activity. Caught all five in a fifteen minute period in the glide between Mill Pool and Park Mill Bridge best around 12 ins.

Fished from 10.30 to 3pm. Trickle of olives all day. Lost a couple but caught 2 on a hares ear nymph and most of the rest on #14 parachute Adams. Saw 2 mayfly come off. Best 12 inches.

River was coloured so was using a large caddis nymph. Caught a lovely big fish of 21 inches!!

High and quite dirty water. Nothing on the surface. Not much action on nymphs either. Black pennell took 2

3 hours at Park Mill, water fast but clearing, 2 on dry 2 on nymph. Lot of debris in river
