Caught on a Hopper, no surface activity but I did have several splashy bites when ‘tweaking’ a large busy fly, Hopper, Sedge, through the surface film. I don’t think any off the interest we’re fish of any size as I wasn’t skilled enough to hook any.

Size 18 silver tungsten 2.mm beaded nymph with sparkly purple body with sparse cdc wrap with two coq de Leon tail fibres.. I can’t really give it an imitative name but often works for me.

Fished above and below the bridge for 2 hours. All fish caught on grey or brown drake. Water clearing and now strong tea colour. Not much in the way of rises but a good mayfly hatch still going on

Had a trout par on a hares ear nymph and the majority of the rest were on various parachute style flies of different colours. One on a greenwells glory and absolutely none on any upwinged mayfly pattern despite a few mayflies rising.

Good hatch but no fish rising, tried several sedge patterns but no luck, swapped for a soft hackle spider and bingo 4 fish within 300 metres, 1 a good 10 inches the others tiddlers.
