Fished from 4pm till 7 pm, cloudy and warm but no fish on the surface until after 5 pm. Used winged olive, caddis and Grey drake, but most caught on olives. Lots of spinners about and the odd mayfly.

Copy of a Davie McPhail mayfly pattern landed a very fat 12" fish. A mayfly emerger had fish slashing at it. Lost 2 and had a few miss the fly when they rose. Not much happening until 4pm ish

Some rain during my few hours where i fished a nymph and had another big fish of 21 inches!! The rain cleared and the dry fly action started and I switched to an Olive upright and had some lovely fish.

Large hatches and lots of surface action. I tried 9 different dries, but nothing. Then switched to a dun nymph. Had a 17" brownie first cast. (Didn't fight much). Went home!

Followed Tim after his session. I fished 4-6:30. Plenty of fly life but initially hardly any surface activity. Caught all five in a fifteen minute period in the glide between Mill Pool and Park Mill Bridge best around 12 ins.

Fished from 10.30 to 3pm. Trickle of olives all day. Lost a couple but caught 2 on a hares ear nymph and most of the rest on #14 parachute Adams. Saw 2 mayfly come off. Best 12 inches.
