Finally tempted a fingerling on a size 18 grey duster. Fished 8-9pm. Not much fly and not many rises.

Warm and overcast. Fished 12.30-3.30. Not much surface activity or hatch. 2 good fish (11&13") on elk hair caddis then 3 little ones to a black pennel

A few rising fish. Water still a bit opaque.

Parachute BWO #14. A quick lunchtime session. No obvious rises.

Upstream of Coldridge bridge for a few hours, water much clearer than earlier at Bridge reeve. River looking beautiful.

Water high and fast with cold wind. In a couple of hours to 5pm saw few rises and no mayfly on the first glide at the start of the beat. Plenty of clearing of riverside and access points needed

Windy evening 4pm-6pm. Good hatch. People swimming in Alders, so i went DS, getting in at the weir and ripping my waders on the slide down. We need to add a ladder there! A good number of rises to spent mayfly type dries, but only 3 stuck

Mayfly emerger caught 2, a spent mayfly caught another, all fish were around 11". Fished 7.30pm-8.30pm. Lots of rises still and still lots of mayfly about.

Fished for 2 hrs from 2pm, water low with just a few mayfly around but nothing rising.
Nice fish though with lovely markings

Mayfly emerger again. Lost another and missed a few. Spent most of my time 8-10pm trying to catch the tricky fish in Mill Pool. Best fish 12"
